The Tai Lake Rocking Chair - NEW 8/2023
This design has won numerous design awards and small details are still evolving.
I just built this first one for 2023 and it sold immediately with another order pending. Please let me know if you would like to be notified when one is available…
The Forest Meditation Table
The perfect wood appeared for this table so I just had to make it. Hualalai Koa wood on the top and some gorgeous South Kona wood for the lower bits. Its almost 8' long with a very powerful but calming presence. At the shop now but this piece will be heading to winter show. $12,000
The Crescent Table - SOLD
Koa and Wenge wood. Now showing at the Gupton Gallery in Kailua Kona $8400
NEW 8/2023! With a rare solid one piece curly koa top.
This piece was designed to accompany a Ladies Vanity but has been very popular by itself.
The Windward Koa Entry Bench - SOLD
This piece is a warm and welcoming addition to any room but is especially dramatic as an entrance statement. Two shades of curly koa were harvested from the same property. The darker panels are the most beautiful we have ever seen and the lighter koa frames them off perfectly.
The New Ohana Bench - SOLD
Ohana means family in Hawaii and this bench has a seat carved for every size of body. This is Robusta Eucalyptus with a detail stripe of Pheasantwood on the base. 104" long x 19" high. Rubbed poly oil finish. $5600.00
Kamani wood Sculpture now showing at the Gupton Gallery. The ripple of the kamani wood and the bird/whale shape of the top suggested themes for a title, but those seemed to "tame" the piece and force the viewer to see it from a certain perspective. The spaces left open are invitations to look into and through the form to draw you into the piece and to the world beyond. I think the boxes might also serve as small altars for objects found on walks. The space between is the inside passage, where the world is whatever you decide it is. 86 h x 26 w x 12 d
Mango Slice Table
Console table. Gorgeous Mango wood that tapers in width with gently curved ends that are dovetailed into the top. Carefully shaped with large dovetail joinery. Now showing at the Gupton Gallery.
